I am a BC Certified Professional Teacher who graduated from UBC with a B.A. in Mathematics and Linguistics and B.Ed. (Secondary) in Mathematics. I reside in North Burnaby. I have 5 years' teaching experience, and my focus has always been and always will be the academic success of the individual students who are put under my care. I have taught in Vancouver and abroad in public and independent schools, allowing me to gain insights on the learning styles of different children and how culture plays a part in their learning. My method of teaching is to promote metacognition - to think about about your thinking. I challenge my students to think about their process and question themselves to assess if their logic is sensible and sound. At the end of the day, it is not the answer that is the most important, but rather the steps that bring us there.
