Students’ Academic Achievements
- Class average for FMPC 10 went from International Baccalaureate Grade 3 (“Mediocre” – A limited understanding of the required knowledge and skills and the ability to apply them fully only in normal situations with support) in Term 1 to Grade 5 (“Good” – A consistent and through understanding of the required knowledge and skills, and the ability to apply them in a variety of situations) in Term 3
- Guided a student in Math 10 to improve her mark from a low “B” to a solid “A” in one term by clarifying logical issues that were the cornerstone to her drastic improvement. She is currently getting 96% in Math 12
- Insisted upon structured, coherent and logical solutions when attacking mathematical problems in order to gain full understanding. Appreciating my advice, a student went from a final mark of 52% in Math 9 to 78% in FMPC 10
- Manage students’ behavior and cover 60% more of the PLOs than required by BC Ministry of Education in Math 11 Remedial to set them up for maximal success in completing the course and obtaining for most of them their senior math credit for graduation; approximately 92% of the students successfully completed the course each year under my instruction
